This is a blended learning Course. One day per week in the College, one day per week home study/practice/learing compulsory. Extra zoom classes may be added for Theory sections.

Course details

The Skincare Industry continues to expand rapidly within Ireland and Overseas.  If you are interested in a career working in a Skin Clinic/Aesthetic or Beauty Salon and not interested in geneal beauty, then this is the Course to start your learning journey.

This Aesthetic course is part 1 of 2 Courses to become an Advanced Skincare Therapist. It can be completed as a stand alone course and will allow you to gain work within the Skincare Industry.  However the ideal option is to continue your studies to complete Part 2,  either directly upon completion of this couse or within 6 months to gain your ITEC Level 4 Advanced Aesthetic Qualifications.

This course is designed with a complete beginner in mind, however if you already have some basic beauty/skincare completed, you can pick and choose the moduels that are of interest to you.

Blended Learning (In School & Online)

 

Blended Learning combines virtual learning with face-to-face instruction” 

All of the practical elements are taught and practiced in the School

  • ITEC Approved Mannequin Heads are used for all initial learning
  • Text books and course notes are provided throughout
  • Power Point slides, professional videos, homework and quizes are all available on the BC Moodle Learning platform
  • Home study/practice as well as the completion of case evidence material is compulsory and not optional
  • The hours required to meet ITEC requirements can only be achieved through home study and  practice on real models
  • Students who do not complete these hours will be unable to apply for final exams
  • Full Tutor support is provided through zoom tutorials when nessessary
  • As this is ” Adult eduction” it is the students responsibility to complete the homework/case studies/practice as guided by your Tutor. Days missed may not be repeated
  • Students are responsible for providing their own model for both mock and the actual exams.
  • The School accepts no responsibility for the provision of these model

  • All courses run for between 12 – 14 weeks – Tuesday course is a 5-month programme 
  • A minimum of 8 – 10 hours home study and practice is required EACH WEEK

  • Total Course fees which are fully inclusive of all extras
  • €3995.00
  • Deposit €500.00 paid to secure your booking by direct debit, pay pal or bank transfer
  • First day of class a further €500.00 this covers kit/uniform/books etc
  • 4 monthly paments of €749.00 by direct debit
  • Holistic Massage can be added for an extra €995.00 plus exam fees
  • This will be on a Tuesday evening ( subject to a minimum number)

Work experience in our College Salon is an optional part of all our Courses.  We will re-visit this option in September or October when we have more knowledge about the most recent advise from the HSE regarding numbers etc
